CVWD Infrastructure Museum

What Lies Beneath

Infrastructure is a critical component in delivering reliable high-quality water and providing dependable wastewater services.

95 miles of water pipes and 72 miles of wastewater pipes lay underground—Crescenta Valley unseen. But corrosion, underground movement, weakened pipe joints, and intruding tree roots impact the lifespan of this vital asset.

In this area you will find items that the District has encountered in the field during emergency repairs and pipeline replacement projects. These artifacts remind us that proper planning, investment, maintenance, and replacement of aging infrastructure is needed to ensure long-term service reliability for our customers.
